Finca San Isabel, located in the lush, rainy highlands of Cobán, Guatemala, has been a family-run coffee farm since 1960, though its roots trace back to 1875. Managed by Don Luis Valdes and his son, Wicho, the farm spans 300 acres of fertile land, producing high-quality Bourbon, Caturra, and Catuai coffee. Over the past decade, their dedication to innovative cultivation and drying techniques has elevated their coffee’s reputation, earning recognition in Guatemala’s Cup of Excellence twice. Wicho's agronomic expertise has led to pioneering pruning methods that combat coffee leaf rust while reducing the need for chemical fertilizers and pesticides. Through sustainable practices like lombricompost application, Finca San Isabel continues to produce exceptional coffee while preserving the land for future generations.
